One of our steadiest clients is Premiere Asset Services/Wells Fargo. We list a fair number of foreclosed
homes for them. In the past they were more apt to do a simple sales clean and then get the homes on
the market.

Lately, their strategy has changed. They are now aggressively appealing to the owner occupant market
by not only cleaning but replacing carpet, painting, even up-dating kitchens and baths to make homes
move-in ready. This is great news for owner occupant buyers who aren’t handy but terrible news for
investor buyers or those owner occupant buyers who are looking for the opportunity to earn some
sweat equity.

But don’t despair. This is just one company’s policy. Citi, HUD, FannieMae and others still market fixers.
Investors out there are just going to have to look a little harder.
